From another provider to GupShup
Step-by-step guide to the migration process from one platform to the other, for example: Infobip to Gupshup.
First phase
Ask the provider to disable 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) on the phone. This step must be requested by the client directly from the supplier.
Once the provider confirms that 2FA has been disabled, we can begin the process in GupShup.
Second phase
The following steps must be performed in GupShup by the customer, with online help from Chat-Tonic
Create an account on GupShup, using Google/Facebook sign-in. Generally, there are shared customer accounts within the organization. It may be useful to register with the provider using this type of account to be able to share access and thus allow other people to access modify the WhatsApp profile or recharge credit.
Create an App
Load credit into the wallet (at least USD 100, but it will depend on the client's estimated traffic)
Once the credit has been credited, we are ready for the next stage.
Third phase
The following steps will be carried out jointly by the Chat-Tonic team and the client.
Important: The migration process is automatic when these steps are completed. It is important to keep in mind that conversations that have been pending attention in Customer Service at the time of the migration will be lost and cannot be attended to.
It is necessary to take into account a moment/time when there is little flow of conversations to lose as few conversations as possible.
List of estimated steps to be carried out at an appropriate time (approx. 30' process)
Associate the App with Chat-Tonic, following the instructions that will be provided online
Choose the GO LIVE option and opt for the traditional flow managed by GupShup.
Scroll down and then choose the “Number migration” option.
Follow the flow given by GupShup to associate the account with the client.
And we will reach the OTP stage where the SMS will be sent to validate that the customer is the owner of the associated phone number.
Once we upload the code, the migration will be carried out automatically and you will begin to operate with GupShup, so it is very important to have everything prepared to do it and also that it be at a time that does not interrupt ongoing conversations.
Final Phase
Cancel the old WhatsApp provider
Once all these steps have been completed, the migration is complete and we can finish the process 👍
